Bengaluru, March 29 (IANS) Leading higher education provider Amrita University has entered into an agrement with Vrije University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands to extend its collaboration to more departments and programmes.
"We are extending our collaboration with the European university after a five-year rewarding association with it through student exchange programme, online lectures, conferences, and adjunct faculty," Amrita University vice-chancellor Venkat Rangan said in a statement here on Sunday.
The new agreement envisages expanding the collaboration to health sciences, involving advanced specialty services, precision robotic surgery, radiotherapy, oncology, translational medical research, nano medical sciences, biotechnology and public health.
The Coimbatore-based university, which has campuses here and at Kochi in Kerala, appointed two adjunct faculty from the Dutch varsity for conducting online courses, guide masters and post-doctoral students.
