BJP, AAP get notices on poll code violation

Chandigarh, March 23 (IANS) The BJP and AAP were Sunday served notices in Haryana for violation of the model code of conduct.

Gurgaon Lok Sabha constituency's returning officer R.C. Verma issued show cause notice to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Yogendra Yadav for holding a roadshow beyond the permitted time and also for use of loudspeaker beyond the permissible time limit.

The Bharatiya Janata Party candidate for the Karnal Lok Sabha seat, Ashwini Kumar and the BJP district president have been issued show cause notice for taking out a procession without permission Friday and also misusing the premises of a temple for political activity.
