New Delhi, Jan 6 (IANS) The AAP Tuesday said the national capital has around eight lakh fake voters, and accused the BJP of being behind the "scam".
"In Delhi, 3,96,914 voters have 11,50,509 voter identity cards, which means one voter has three to four cards," Aam Padmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal said at a press conference.
The former Delhi chief minister said he met Chief Election Commissioner V.S. Sampath Tuesday to complain about the anomaly, and was assured that the matter would be looked into.
He said it was a "humongous figure" and something needed to be done.
AAP leader Ashutosh said it was a scam and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) could be behind it.
