Lucknow, Jan 28 (IANS) In a late Tuesday reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government effected a major reshuffle and transferred 94 IPS officials, a state spokesperson said.
The transfers include many additional director general (ADG) rank officials, inspector generals of police (IG), deputy inspector generals (DIG), senior superintendent of police (SSP) and superintendent of police (SP's).
Transferred officials include Additional Director General Police (ADG) Headquarters, Surya Kumar Shukla, who has now been posted as DG (SIT), VK Gupta, who has been transferred from ADG State Human Rights Commission to Police Housing Board as its Managing Director. RR Bhatnagar, the ADG prisons have been promoted as DG prisons and Jag Mohan Yadav has been elevated as DG CB-CID.
Sutapa Sanyal, a senior woman IPS officer has been transferred out of the Economic Offences Wing (EoW) and posted as ADG (Human Rights) now. IG's of Agra zone, Allahabad, Moradabad, DIG LucknowDIG Aligarh, DIG Chitrakoot have also been transferred.
