Patna, April 14 (IANS) The AAP Monday demanded the transfer of the superintendent of police in Bihar's Nalanda district after its candidate, Pranav Prakash, was attacked and injured by unidentified men.
Prakash was assaulted Sunday evening in Utarthu village when he was on his way to the Aam Aadmi Party's election office.
"Pranav Prakash was badly beaten and injured and admitted to a hospital for treatment," said the AAP convenor for Bihar, Somnath Tripathy.
He blamed the Janata Dal-United for the attack.
Tripathy said the AAP had asked the Election Commission to immediately transfer the superintendent of police of Nalanda, the home district of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
