Bahraich Wolf Attack: Vigilance increased in wolf-affected villages, surveillance at every nook and corner; villages echoing with the sound of firecrackers

The wolf, which has already killed 10 people including nine children, was not heard attacking on Tuesday. Block Development Officer Hemant Kumar Yadav said that 11 district-level officers are visiting villages under the leadership of District Magistrate Monika Rani. Surveillance is being done with full force to prevent wolf attacks.

 

16 teams of the forest department are continuously combing. As soon as evening falls, the sound of shells and firecrackers starts echoing in the villages. The noise of 'Jagte Raho' from loudspeakers can be heard far and wide. 200 police and PAC personnel have been deployed for surveillance. Villagers are seen roaming in groups.

 

Despite these efforts, there is panic among the villagers about the wolf. The villagers are spending the night awake. After getting the location, the wolf escapes by dodging. At present, no location of the wolf was found on Wednesday. Vigilance has increased in the wolf-affected villages.

 

If the villagers remain alert, incidents will be curbed

Divisional Forest Officer Ajit Pratap Singh says that the Chief Forest Conservator, Forest Conservator, DFOs of nearby districts along with the entire staff are engaged in monitoring day and night. Search operations are being conducted. People are being made aware by camping in villages. Four wolves have been caught. Two others will be caught. If the villagers remain alert, incidents will stop. Never sleep outside the house.
