During court hearings, prosecutors said that Fu took advantage of his position to launder money about business operations, official positions, and legal matters.

 

When the court case began in July, prosecutors said, "During his tenure at the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, Fu knowingly avoided criminal prosecution of his brother, who had serious criminal charges." In his final statement in court, Fu confesses his guilt and pleads guilty. Fu also expressed remorse for what he had done.

 

What is the provision of the death penalty for two years?

 

In fact, under Chinese law, a sentence of two years or more imprisonment with the death penalty has a special meaning. This means that the death sentence can be commuted to life imprisonment depending on the behavior of the convicted. Therefore, Fu is also sentenced to two years, if he proves within these two years that he has remorse, then his sentence can be commuted to life imprisonment.
