COP27: President of Egypt told Foreign Minister Jaishankar – Rs 574 billion. business is not enough, it should be increased further

External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar called on President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi during his visit to Egypt on Sunday. Extending the Prime Minister's best wishes, he said that during his presidency, India values ​​Egypt's participation in the G20. Foreign Minister Jaishankar said that President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has urged India to increase the business of trade.

 

Addressing the India-Egypt Business Forum, Jaishankar said, "I had the honor of meeting the President. Two of our colleagues have mentioned trading business. President Sisi told me he doesn't think it's enough. That's why he urged us to find ways to increase it.

 

Giving details of his meeting, Jaishankar, who is on a two-day visit to Egypt, tweeted, "Horrid to meet President of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. He received warm wishes and a personal message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

 

Jaishankar further said that one way to expand the business is to focus on the constraints. EAM appreciated President Sisi's guidance in further developing the various dimensions of India-Egypt relations. Minister Jaishankar briefed the President about his discussions with Finance Minister Sameh Shoukri.

Jaishankar also highlighted India's commitment to the success of COP 27. The External Affairs Minister emphasized that India values ​​Egypt's participation in the G20 during its presidency. India is fully committed to the success of COP27 under the Egyptian presidency.

 

Jaishankar said on Saturday that he will talk to Union Minister for Education, Skills, and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan about collaborating with Egypt in premier higher educational institutions like the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
