On Wednesday, the High Court has asked tough questions to the Delhi government regarding the lack of vaccine in Delhi. The court also asked questions about the number of vaccination centers opened despite the lack of Covaxin.

The High Court asked the Delhi government, "If you cannot provide the second dose of Covaxin, then why has it started the vaccination centers in a big way." Further, the court also asked, "Can you provide a second dose to the people before the expiry of six weeks after taking the first dose of Covaxin.

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday said that if the Delhi government could not ensure that people would get both doses of Covaxin within the stipulated time frame, it should not have started so many immunization centers loudly.

Justice Rekha Palli issued notices to the Delhi government and asked it to state whether it can provide a second dose to those who had taken the first dose of Covaxin before the expiry of the six-week time limit.

The court also issued notice to the Center on two petitions seeking to make available both doses of Covaxin and Covishield in the national capital.
