Elon Musk's clarification on free speech: Said earlier - will give freedom to free speech, now said - everything will be according to the law

Twitter's new owner Elon Musk is claiming free speech on this platform. After which many people are opposing it. People believe that this will give trollers a license to spread abuse and misinformation on an open platform. Meanwhile, now Musk has explained the meaning of free speech.

 

Elon Musk wrote in the clarification tweet – I am against censorship that is different from the law. By free speech, I mean that which is according to the law. If people want less free speech then they should demand the government make a law regarding this. So going beyond the law is against the will of the people.

 

The Human Rights Group says that allowing free speech without any guidelines will fill Twitter with hate speech content. Experts also believe that this will increase the risk of fake information.

Musk wrote in a tweet after becoming the owner of Twitter that free speech is the basis of democracy. Twitter is a digital town where issues that matter to the future of humanity are debated. He said- Here all users will get the freedom of expression. Hope even my worst critics stay on the platform.

 

Tesla founder bought Twitter for $44 billion

 

Musk signed a $44 billion (Rs 3,368 billion) deal to buy micro-blogging site Twitter. For every share, Twitter has paid $ 54.20 (Rs 4,148). He already had a 9% stake in Twitter. He was the largest shareholder of Twitter. After the latest deal, he has a 100% stake in the company and Twitter has become his private company.

 

Discussion on buying and selling continued for 10 days

 

On April 4, Elon Musk had informed about buying 9.2% shares in Twitter for the first time. On April 15, he offered to buy Twitter outright. At that time, Saudi Prince Al Waleed bin Talal Elan, one of the Twitter shareholders, had turned down Musk's offer, but for the last 7 days, there were continuous meetings of the Twitter board and finally, the board accepted Musk's offer.
