New Delhi, Jan 15 (IANS) A former Congress councillor and three AAP leaders Thursday joined the BJP here.
Rajesh Yadav, the former councillor from Pitampura, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with Shakil Anjum Dehlavi, who was the Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Matia Mahal in the 2013 assembly poll, Farhana Anjum who had contested from Ballimaran and Ishrat Ali Ansari, who had fought from Krishna Nagar.
"We have always been saying that there is new inclination towards the BJP and Prime Minister Narender Modi among the Dalits and minorities," BJP leader and in-charge of the state unit Prabhat Jha said.
Earlier in the day, former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Kiran Bedi too joined the party and it was announced that she would fight the Feb 7 assembly elections.
