A new ray of hope has arisen in the war against Corona. The Covid-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer-BioNotech has passed the examination of children. None of the 600 children aged 12 to 16 who were vaccinated in Israel have any serious side effects. This research indicates that the Covid vaccination may prove to be safe for children even before the results of clinical trials.

Israel's health minister has suggested vaccinations of adolescents who are battling diseases that make them more susceptible to corona infection. Boz Lev, the head of the immunization workforce in Israel, said, "We have so far given Pfizer's Covid-19 vaccine dose to 600 children. We did not see any serious side effects in any of the children. There were also very few cases of minor side effects. These findings are very encouraging. '

PREPARING FOR CHILDREN TO TRY Pfizer is trying to test its Covid-19 vaccine on 12 to 15-year-olds. The company may soon start testing on children aged between five and 11. On the other hand, Oxford University has also announced to try AstraZeneca's vaccine on children above the age of six years. However, the results of these studies may take several months to arrive.

Immunization intensifies in Israel

More than half of the population in Israel has been given at least one dose of the Corona vaccine. More than 60 percent of the people will be vaccinated in the next few weeks. Infectious disease experts believe that 'Heard Immunity' can be introduced in the country after such a population has acquired immunity against corona. This will cause the virus to neutralize itself.

Exercise to remove hurdle immunity

In Israel, with an estimated population of 9 million, about 25 percent of the people are under 16 years of age. Since the beneficiaries have to be at least 16 years old to get Pfizer vaccinated, the vaccine authorities of the country are considering it as a big challenge in the direction of achieving 'Heard Immunity'. They have intensified the practice of vaccines on children so that they can help win over the virus. Vaccination of children in the country may be approved by April-May.

India also started assessing the impact

The Ministry of Health indicated in early March that the process of assessing the impact of the Covid-19 vaccine on children in India has started. On the other hand, Bharat Biotech has also sought permission from the Central Government to test 'covaxine' on children aged between 5 and 18 years. It claimed 81% of the vaccine to be effective in a third-round clinical trial on adults.
