Ranchi, April 8 (IANS) The JMM may lose in Dumka and Rajmahal Lok Sabha constituencies in the current election, said senior leader and Jharkhand cabinet minister Simon Marandi Tuesday.
Marandi is unhappy, as the party denied the Lok Sabha ticket to his son from Rajmahal constituency. "The party may lose both the Dumka and Rajmahal seats in the polls," said Marandi while talking to reporters in Pakur district.
"The Rajmahal ticket has been awarded to a former Congress leader, Vijay Hansda. We are not supporting him in the polls."
Marandi said: "If the party had reservation over my son, then any senior leader of the JMM could have been given the ticket. We will not vote for a candidate who has been borrowed from the Congress."
"The party workers are unhappy with the decision," he said.
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) chief Shibu Soren is fighting from the Dumka constituency.
Marandi has announced he would not campaign for the party in the polls.
The JMM is facing dissension over the ticket for Rajmahal seat being given to a Congress leader who joined the party just before the polls.
