A huge new bridge is being built on the river Ganga in Kashi, the constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the ancient religious city of the country. There will be 4 railway lines and 6 lane highway on this bridge. Apart from this, ghats will be built at Kashi railway station, which will encourage inland waterways.
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav gave this information to the media after inspecting both these projects in Varanasi today. He said that he inspected two big projects. In this, a new bridge is being built on the river Ganga, which will have 4 railway lines and 6 lane highways. And there will be the redevelopment of Kashi railway station. Rs 350 crore will be spent on the rejuvenation of the station.
Railway Minister Vaishnav said that ghats of inland waterways will be built near Kashi railway station. This will lead to the inter-modal development of the region. He said that there is a lot to learn when starting a new project with new technology. Everyone is assimilating the system and learning from it. After this project, new corridors will be constructed across the country.
