New Delhi, Feb 24 (IANS) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Tuesday invited anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare to visit the Delhi secretariat.
Addressing Hazare's two-day agitation against the land ordinance of the central government, Kejriwal said: "I would like Anna ji to visit the Delhi secretariat for 10 minutes and address all the HODs (heads of departments)."
Hazare led an anti-corruption movement against the previous Congress-led government along with Kejriwal and the movement resulted in the birth of the Aam Aadmi Party.
But the two had a fallout as Hazare was opposed to the idea of joining politics.
At Jantar Mantar, Kejriwal addressed Hazare as his "guru" and "father figure" and assured that as the chief minister of Delhi, he would support the agitation with all his might.
Hazare launched his agitation against the ordinance at Jantar Mantar Monday, terming the measure "undemocratic" and demanding its withdrawal.
The government Tuesday introduced the land acquisition amendment bill in the Lok Sabha amid an uproar by the opposition.
