Nikita Kaul, the wife of Major Major Vibhuti Shankar Dhoundiyal, who was martyred in the Pulwama attack in Jammu and Kashmir in 2019, joined the Indian Army on Saturday. Nikita has become a lieutenant in the Indian Army. He paid tribute to Major Vibhuti Shankar wearing the uniform of the Indian Army today.

On the martyrdom of her husband, Nikita had said that it is my job to follow the path of Vibhu and fulfill his unfulfilled dream and that is how I want to pay tribute to her. Nikita had been training at the Officers Training Academy in Chennai since last year after passing the Short Service Commission (SSC) examination and the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview.

In an interview with news agency ANI in 2019, Nikita Kaul urged every Indian not to be sympathetic but to remain strong and united. She had said goodbye to her husband, 'I request everyone not to have sympathy but to be very strong because this man (VS Dhoundiyal) is much bigger than any of us standing here. Let us salute this man. Jai Hind .'

Significantly, in the year 2019, on February 14, a CRPF convoy was attacked in Pulwama, in which 40 soldiers were killed. It was only after the terrorist attack that the army carried out an operation to pile up the terrorists in Pinglan village of Pulwama. In this operation, four soldiers were martyred due to the bullets of terrorists, including Major rank officer Vibhuti Dhoundiyal.

When Major Dhoundiyal's body reached his home, his wife Nikita Kaul said that she was proud of her husband. While saluting her husband, she said that you had lied to me that you love me. You love your country more than me and I am proud of it.

He had said, 'You are a brave man. I feel very honored to have you as my husband. I will love you till my last breath. My life is indebted to you Yes, it is sad that you are leaving but I know that you will always be around me. '
