Mohan Bhagwat: Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati expressed displeasure over Bhagwat's statement, saying- he does not understand the plight of Hindus

Saints are also raising questions on the statement of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat not to raise the 'temple-mosque' dispute. Jyotishpeeth's Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati said that Mohan Bhagwat does not understand the plight of Hindus. Many Hindu temples are being demolished. This is true. But Mohan Bhagwat is not feeling the pain of Hindus.

 

Jyotishpeeth's Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati has accused Mohan Bhagwat of making statements according to 'political convenience'. He says that when he had to get power, he used to go temple-temple, now that he has got power, he is advised not to look for temples. Mohan Bhagwat has claimed that some people raise these issues to become leaders, but I want to make it clear that common Hindus do not want to become leaders.

 

It is worth noting that this statement of Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati has come from the recent statements of Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat. The Sangh chief had expressed concern over the re-emergence of new temple-mosque disputes in Pune. He had said that after the construction of Ayodhya's Ram temple, some individuals have come to believe that they can become "leaders of Hindus" by raising such issues. SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav and Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh also questioned Bhagwat's statement.

 

What did Mohan Bhagwat say?

 

Speaking on the topic Bharat-Vishwaguru in Sahjeevan Vyakhyamala, Bhagwat spoke of the need for an inclusive society. He said that the world should be shown that people of different religions can live together in peace in India. Regarding the construction of the Ram temple, he said that it was a matter related to the faith of all Hindus. But now some people are trying to spread tension in society by raising new controversies, which is not acceptable. Bhagwat also said that raising such issues and spreading controversy in society cannot continue. Recently, the demand for cases related to mosques for the survey of temples has arisen in the courts, but Bhagwat did not name anyone in this regard.
