Speaking to PTI, some residents of the Old Hislop College area near Chitnis Park in Mahal claimed that a mob entered their area around 7.30 pm and started pelting stones at their houses and vandalizing several cars parked in the streets. Four cars were vandalized, one of which was badly burnt.
Police arrested 65
Police have arrested 65 people during search operations in various areas of the Mahal area. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari from Nagpur have appealed for peace and harmony in the wake of the violence.
