Namakkal (Tamil Nadu), March 17 (IANS) Actor-turned-politician A.Vijaykant Monday said he would not have floated his DMDK had the AIADMK or the DMK ruled the state well.
Addressing an election rally here, around 370 km from Chennai for National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Vijaykant said: "If AIADMK and DMK had ruled well, I would not have started DMDK."
He said Namakkal is known for its poultry industry, but neither of the two parties have taken steps to set up cold storage facilities for eggs.
"I am here not for me but for Narendra Modi. The NDA is victorious alliance and people's alliance," he said.
"I would keep Tamil Nadu free of corruption. For keeping India free of corruption, I need Modi," he said.
Coming down heavily on DMK's candidate and former union minister of state for health and family welfare S.Gandhiselvan, the DMDK leader accused him of not taking care of the people in his constituency.
Turning philosophical, Vijaykant said a person does not take anything with him after death and all that one needs is six feet land to be buried in the end.
"I fall at your feet to vote for NDA candidates," he said.
When he asked the crowd to whom they would vote for, the people shouted back "Modi".
