Bengal: Traveling from here to Delhi-Mumbai
In Cooch Behar, Malda, Alipurduar, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, Uttar Dinajpur, and Dakshin Dinajpur districts of Bengal, Rohingyas live in hiding among the Muslims here. In Darjeeling and other places, through touts, they get fake certificates for three-four thousand rupees. No one is ready to say anything officially in this regard. Through Assam, they use the North-East Corridor Siliguri to reach Delhi, Mumbai, etc. According to official sources, more than a dozen Rohingyas have been arrested in Siliguri and surrounding areas in the last two years.
