Saif Ali Khan: How did the thief enter Saif's house, who helped him and what was the motive? Answers to these questions have not been found yet.

Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder with a knife last night, following which the police are trying to piece together the sequence of events that took place at his Bandra house. He was later rushed to Lilavati Hospital where he was found with six stab wounds on his body, one of which was on his spine. The actor, his wife and actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their son live in a 12-storey building in Bandra West, where several Bollywood actors live. Their residence is spread over four floors.

 

The thief came from the house next door.

 

The police have said that investigations so far have revealed that the attacker broke into the actor's house to commit a theft. According to police sources, the thief broke into the house next to the building where the actor lived. He then entered the house by scaling the wall. After entering the house, the thief climbed the stairs from the back side of the building to reach the floor on which the actor lives. The police have said that the thief entered Saif's apartment through the fire escape.

 

Police are questioning

 

According to the report, Saif's house helper Aliama Phillips alias Lima was the first to spot the thief at around 2 am last night. She screamed and Saif got to know. After this, there was a fight between the actor and the thief. The thief stabbed Saif six times before fleeing the spot. Police sources said that CCTV cameras have captured him entering and exiting from the rear side of the building. Police are questioning others including the house helper.

 

Part is taken out from the actor's back.

 

There are serious questions about the response of the security guards on duty at this high-profile building and how the thief managed to enter the actor's house without getting caught. Police have taken possession of the part taken out from Saif Ali Khan's back. A part of the blade is still to be recovered.

 

Police gave this statement.

 

Police have said that they have identified a suspect and multiple teams are trying to arrest him. Senior police officer Dixit Gedam said, "It is learned that the accused used the fire escape to enter the house. Investigation so far suggests that it was a burglary attempt. We are making every effort to arrest the accused as soon as possible. Once he is arrested, we will be able to reveal further details."
