US: US Senator Mark Warner said, Pentagon should increase cooperation with India

Democratic Senator Mark Warner has said that the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which provides the US with an annual defense budget, requires the US Defense Headquarters Pentagon to increase its cooperation with India for emerging technology, preparedness, and other items. Warner is the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee as well as the co-chair of the Senate India Caucus. Warner said the NDAA will continue to direct the defense and foreign ministries to deepen ties with India, directing them to increase cooperation in emerging technologies, joint research and development, and defense and cyber capabilities. Other opportunities for alliances to be taken advantage of are needed so that India's dependence on Russian-made defense equipment can be reduced.

 

After a joint committee of the Senate and the House of Representatives reached an agreement on the NDAA draft, the senator's office said the provisions highlight Warner's efforts toward a defense partnership with India, supporting accelerated efforts to diversify defense systems. Huh.
