According to IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rain in many states today. Heavy Rainfall Alert is expected in South Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala for the next 3 days. The Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert in 8 states of the country on 17 October 2022.
According to Skymet Weather, due to the influence of cyclonic circulation over the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal, there may be heavy rains in Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Lakshadweep. Rain is also possible in many parts of Maharashtra. Talks can start in the mountains on October 19. The weather in Delhi Punjab Haryana Uttar Pradesh Madhya Pradesh Bihar and Gujarat will remain dry.
According to the Meteorological Center Chandigarh, from October 18, the Western Disturbance is again active in Punjab. Heavy rain alerts in these states
According to the Meteorological Department, today i.e. on October 17, 2022, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with strong winds in some parts of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andaman, and the Nicobar Islands. On the other hand, heavy to very heavy rains are likely over parts of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in these states.
Western Disturbance persisting in the Bay of Bengal
Meanwhile, a new cyclonic pressure center is forming in the lower troposphere over the Bay of Bengal.
