The scientist said - If carelessness is not taken, then we can stop the third wave
It took the US a full 100 days to recover from the second wave of infections. In this sense, India has taken 39 days less than America to recover from the second wave. Patients have also been found 22.6 lakh less than America.
In the US, 1.82 crore new cases were found in 100 days of the second wave, while in India 1.56 crore cases were found in 61 days of the second wave. The main reason for the decline in new patients is the reduction in the rate of infection by up to 4 times. The 7-day average rate of infection in the country has come down to 6.6%, which reached 26% on May 6, exactly a month ago.
The good thing is that the infection rate has fallen below 5% in 22 states. According to the WHO, if the infection rate is below 5%, then you can assume that the epidemic is no longer uncontrolled. India is now in danger of a third wave. ICMR Director Dr. Balram Bhargava believes that the third wave can be stopped based on masks, a distance of two yards, and maximum vaccination.
