Today is the 21st day of the Russia-Ukraine war. Russia is constantly bombing civilian areas in Ukrainian cities. Many Indians were trapped during the attack. They are also being brought back via Russian cities. 3 Indians stranded in Kherson were evacuated via Simferopol and Moscow.

 

Here, Russia has captured the largest hospital in Mariupol. The deputy mayor here said that 400 people, including doctors and patients, were taken hostage by Russian troops. They are not being allowed to go out.

European Union regulators have asked some banks to scrutinize the transactions of all Russian and Belarusian customers, including residents of the European Union.

 

The US Senate has approved a resolution demanding a war crime investigation against Putin over the attack on Ukraine.

 

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said – We are concerned that Moscow may conduct a false campaign in Ukraine, possibly including chemical weapons.

 

The Canadian government has imposed severe sanctions on 15 more Russian officials.

Operation Ganga update

 

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that Indians will also be brought back via Belgorod and Kursk in Russia. This step will be taken under Operation Ganga. The Government of India launched Operation Ganga to bring back the stranded Indians in Ukraine. Under this, about 22,500 Indian citizens were able to return to India safely.

 

90 flights have been operated under Operation Ganga, out of which 76 were civilian flights and 14 were IAF flights. Evacuation flights arrived in India from Romania, Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia. Along with Indians, many citizens of 18 other countries have also been evacuated, including citizens of Bangladesh, Nepal, America, France, Canada, and Britain.

 

Russia's action, 13 American leaders including Biden banned

 

Russia has banned 13 American leaders, including President Joe Biden, from visiting their country. Apart from Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have also been banned.

 

Heads of 3 European countries meet Zelensky

 

The Prime Ministers of the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovenia met with President of Ukraine Zelensky. At the same time, President Biden will meet with EU and NATO officials in Brussels next week.

 

Signs of the agreement after 21 days, Ukraine distances itself from NATO

 

Ukraine's President Zelensky has hinted at a deal amid the increasing attack by the Russian military. He said- the country should accept that it will not become a member of the US-led NATO military alliance, which Russia is opposing.

Russian business tycoon and owner of Chelsea football club Roman Abramovich, who was banned by European countries, has reached Moscow. Earlier on Monday, he appeared at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Abib, Israel's capital. Abramovich, a close aide of Russian President Vladimir Putin, left for Istanbul on a private jet and then reached Moscow.
