Giving a big gift to the central employees of the Narendra Modi government in the past, the DA received by them has been increased by three percent. After which his dearness allowance increased from 31 percent to 34 percent. This increased dearness allowance will be applicable from January 1, 2022. After this gift, it is now expected that the government can soon give double happiness to the employees.
HRA may increase
According to a report, the central employees are now expecting a hike in HRA after the increase in DA. It has been raised in this that the government can now increase other allowances including house rent allowance after DA. Let us inform you that the last time the increase was seen was in July last year. It is expected that now that the government has increased the DA, HRA can also be revised accordingly. If this happens, there will be a significant increase in the salary of the employees.
HRA may increase by three percent
According to the report released in this regard, at present, central employees get HRA at the rate of 9 percent, 18 percent, and 27 percent according to their categories. It is expected that the HRA can be increased by up to 3 percent. Employees in X category cities can increase their HRA by 3 percent, in Y category cities by 2 percent in allowances and in Z category cities the HRA of employees can also increase by 1 percent. Thereafter, the HRA rates will be 10 percent, 20 percent, and 30 percent, depending on the categories. That is, the minimum HRA of central employees will be 10 percent.
This is how HRA is determined
It is noteworthy that HRA for central employees is fixed based on the category of the city where they are posted. These are divided into three categories X, Y, and Z. HRA is being given to the employees of the X category at the rate of 27% of their basic salary. Whereas the employees working in Y category cities are given HRA at the rate of 18 percent. Talking about Z category cities, here HRA is available at the rate of 9 percent. This rate varies by area and city.
Fitment factor also expected to increase
According to the recent reports, along with DA, HRA, central employees have been waiting for an increase in the fitment factor for a long time. Now that the increase in DA has been announced, then their hope has got wings. It is expected that soon the government can also make a big decision on the fitment factor of central employees. The fitment factor plays an important role in the salary received by the employees. Due to this factor, the salary of central employees increases by more than two and a half times.
rising demand to increase
It is worth noting that there has been a long-standing demand of central employees to increase their fitment factor from 2.57 percent to 3.68 percent. After this, there will be a tremendous increase in the minimum salary of the employees. Let us inform you that the last time the fitment factor was increased was in the year 2016. The 7th Pay Commission was also implemented in the same year. At that time the minimum salary of the employees had gone straight from Rs 6000 to Rs 18,000. Now the government can increase the salary of central employees again this year. The fitment factor decides the basic salary for all central government employees. This time around, if there is a possible increase in the fitment factor, the minimum basic pay will increase from Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000.
