Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya, died on Wednesday at SGPGI in Lucknow. The hospital has confirmed this. He was admitted to SGPGI on February 3. He was admitted to the Neurology Ward HDU after suffering a brain stroke. The body of Acharya Satyendra Das has been sent to Ayodhya, where his last rites will be performed.
Acharya Satyendra Das was admitted to Sanjay Gandhi PGI Hospital on February 3. He was undergoing treatment under the supervision of specialist doctors. Along with brain stroke, he had diabetes and high blood pressure problems. He was admitted to the Neurology Ward HDU of PGI.

Earlier on October 15, the chief priest Satyendra Das was admitted to the Neurology Department of PGI after his condition deteriorated. He was brought from Ayodhya. He was being treated under the supervision of Dr. Prakash Chandra Pandey of Neurology. His neurological tests were done. His condition was critical. After several days of treatment, he was taken back to Ayodhya. After this, he was gradually improving.
Health deteriorated again on 9 February.
On Sunday, Satyendra Das's condition deteriorated again late in the evening. His blood pressure suddenly increased. After this, he was brought to the hospital. After primary treatment, he was asked to be taken to Lucknow. Only after this, he was brought to Lucknow.
CM Yogi had enquired about his health.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had reached the hospital on February 4 and enquired about the health of Acharya Satyendra Das. He discussed the progress of treatment with the doctors and gave the necessary instructions.
