Kolkata, Jan 17 (IANS) Congress leader Amarinder Singh Saturday questioned the transfer of an Enforcement Directorate officer who had earlier interrogated Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia, who faces allegations allegations of money laundering.
"He was doing a good job, I don't know why he was transferred? I hope it was a routine transfer," Singh, who is deputy leader of the party in the Lok Sabha and a former Punjab chief minister, told IANS on the sidelines of a programme here.
EDs Assistant Director Niranjan Singh, based in Jalandhar, was transferred to Kolkata Friday.
Majithia is the brother-in-law of Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal.
