Amitabh Thakur submit rebuttal to chargesheet, Not at fault

On thrusday Suspended IPS officer Amitabh Thakur Told reporters, “I was given 15 days to reply to the chargesheet but I have submitted it within 24 hours… I am not at fault in any of the points stated in the chargesheet. I have never ever been lax towards my duties nor have flouted rules and manuals,”. Thakur reply on the 15 point chargesheet of UP government in dereliction of duty, Anti-establishment approach and disobey supreme court orders. He submitted to the DGP Jagmohan Yadav's and said in the statement that he never rebel the high court orders "Not at fault"



The IG-rank officer, who had lodged a complaint against Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav for allegedly threatening him said, “They had stated that I worked beyond my jurisdiction. But I have always worked in the spirit of Article 51A of the Indian Constitution.



On the charge that he had been filing PILs in which the state was involved, despite a High Court order directing him not to Thakur said, “I have always intimated the state government before filing the PILs. The government never questioned me.”



However, as per the last statement, Thakur told to the media that it was a “dhamki”. “I was criminally assaulted in Jasrana (in 2006 Amitabh was SP of Firozabad where the incident occurred) and now Mulayam is saying it’ll be worse this time. I will take this truth to all senior officers, including the Chief Secretary, and will fax a letter to the Home Ministry. I will stay here… won’t run away,”.



On the charge that he visited Shahjahanpur after the death of journalist Jagendra Singh and addressing a press meet attacking the state government, the IPS officer said since no FIR was being registered in the case, he had to intervene in the spirit of the Constitution. Thakur had visited Singh and recorded a video of the latter on his deathbed. In the video, the journalist had blamed a UP minister of orchestrating the plan to set him on fire.

Another charge was also file against Amitabh Thakur, for making a protest outside the DGP office. 'It was not protest from my side but was only expressing my pain'.
