What did the Home Minister say?

The Union Home Minister wrote in his post, "On the special occasion of Navratri, the Modi government has given all the mothers and sisters of the country the gift of next-generation GST reforms. The promise Modi ji made to the countrymen on GST has begun today."

Amit Shah said in his post:

Following the historic reduction in GST rates, more than 390 items have become cheaper. Prices of food and household items will be particularly low. Additionally, people will receive tax relief on automobiles, materials, agriculture, toys, sports, education, handicrafts, medical, health, and insurance.

Amit Shah said, "Reduced GST rates will bring happiness to the lives of citizens and increase their savings."

GST 2.0 comes into effect today

It should be noted that at the GST Council meeting held on September 3, the central government announced significant relief for the public. Many everyday items were made tax-free. Furthermore, the four GST tax slabs have been removed, leaving only two. Most items will now be taxed at 5 percent and 18 percent. Luxury items will be taxed at 40 percent.
