Andhra Pradesh: 6 workers were killed, 13 injured, four people from Bihar due to a massive fire in a chemical factory

A massive fire broke out at a chemical factory located in Musunuru village of Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh late last night. 6 laborers have died due to scorching in the fire. Apart from this, 13 people have also been injured in this accident. The CM and Governor of the state have expressed grief over the accident. The CM has also announced compensation for the affected.

It is being told that the name of the factory where the fire started is Porus Private Limited. Police said that the factory used to deliver polymer raw materials. The fire started in the factory due to the leaking of the container. Soon the fire engulfed the entire factory.

 

DSP Nujeevedu said, 'A container leaked in the factory and suddenly flames came out of a manhole. A total of five people died on the spot and one died on the way to the hospital. 12 people have also been injured in the accident.

 

Four laborers were from Bihar

 

At the same time, Eluru SP Rahul Dev Sharma said that 18 people were working in the factory at the time of the accident. The injured have been admitted to hospitals in Vijayawada and Nujeevedu for treatment. Two floors of the factory have been completely burnt in the fire. Police said that four of the dead were residents of Bihar.

 

CM announced compensation

 

State CM Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced compensation. Reddy announced an ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased, Rs 5 lakh to those with serious injuries, and Rs 2 lakh to those with minor injuries. Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan has condoled the incident.
