Jammu, Jan 24 (IANS) The Indian Army Saturday said it has given free medical care to over 400 people in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district.
Army spokesman Col Manish Mehta told IANS here: "Dharmendra village in Ramban District has limited access to quality health care and professional medical advice.
"Dharmund-based Field Hospital organised a free medical and dental camp to address health issues of the villagers."
A total of 463 people, including 99 children, benefited from the medical camp.
"Worm infestation is a common disease in this area that is why deworming of all the children below 15 years of age was done and benefits of good hygiene were advised," said Mehta.
