Preparations are being finalized for the consecration of Ram Lalla to be held in Ayodhya on 22 January. The grand temple of Lord Shri Ram is ready in Ayodhya. Out of the three statues of Ramlala, one statue has also been selected. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has enumerated the features of Ayodhya Ram Temple.
According to the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, "The Ram temple is being constructed in three stories, which is built in the traditional Nagar style and its east-west length is 380 feet, width is 250 feet and height is 161 feet. Each floor of the temple is 20 feet high. It has 392 pillars and 44 doors. There will be an idol of Shri Ramlala in the main sanctum and Shri Ram Darbar on the first floor."
Understand the features of the temple point-by-point
1. The temple is being built in traditional Nagar style.
2. The length of the temple (from east to west) will be 380 feet, the width will be 250 feet and the height will be 161 feet.
3. The temple will be three-storeyed. The height of each floor will be 20 feet. There will be a total of 392 pillars and 44 gates in the temple.
4. There will be a child form of Lord Shri Ram (deity of Shri Ram Lalla Sarkar) in the main sanctum and Shri Ram Darbar on the first floor.
5. There will be 5 pavilions in the temple: Dance Pavilion, Color Pavilion, Sabha Pavilion, Prayer Pavilion, and Kirtan Pavilion.
6. Statues of Gods and Goddesses are being carved on the pillars and walls.
7. Entry to the temple will be from the east side, by climbing 32 stairs and from Singhdwar.
8. There will be provision of a ramp and lift in the temple for the disabled and elderly.
9. There will be a rectangular wall all around the temple. Its total length in all four directions will be 732 meters and its width will be 14 feet.
10. Four temples dedicated to Sun God, Mother Bhagwati, Ganapati, and Lord Shiva will be built at the four corners of the park. There will be a temple of Maa Annapurna in the northern arm, and a temple of Hanuman ji in the southern arm.
11. Sitakoop of the mythological period will be present near the temple.
12. Other temples proposed in the temple complex will be dedicated to Maharishi Valmiki, Maharishi Vashishtha, Maharishi Vishwamitra, Maharishi Agastya, Nishadraj, Mata Shabari and Rishipatni Devi Ahilya.
13. The ancient temple of Lord Shiva has been renovated on Navratna Kuber Tila in the south-western part and the Jatayu statue has been installed there.
14. Iron will not be used in the temple. There is no concrete at all on the ground.
15. 14-meter-thick Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) has been laid under the temple. It has been given the form of an artificial rock.
16. To protect the temple from soil moisture, a 21-foot-high plinth has been made of granite.
17. A sewer treatment plant, water treatment plant, water system for fire fighting, and independent power station have been constructed independently in the temple complex so that there is minimum dependence on external resources.
18. A Pilgrims Facility Center with a capacity of 25,000 is being constructed, where there will be lockers to keep the luggage of the pilgrims and medical facilities.
19. There will also be facilities for bathrooms, toilets, wash basins, open taps, etc. on the temple premises.
20. The temple is being constructed completely according to Indian tradition and with indigenous technology. Special attention is being given to environmental conservation. Of the total area of 70 acres, 70% of the area will remain green forever.
Construction going on in the northern part of 70 acres
Let us tell you that recently Champat Rai, President of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, presented the map of the entire temple, in which he told - "The temple is being constructed on the northern part of 70 acres of land. A three-story temple is being built here. The work on the ground floor of the temple has been completed, the first floor is under construction."
The General Secretary of Teerth Kshetra Trust also shared other fundamental information related to the construction of the temple. There will be five pavilions in the temple in the form of dance, color, assembly, prayer, and kirtan pavilion. To reach the plinth of the temple, one has to climb 32 steps. There is a rectangular wall around the temple, whose length is 732 meters and width is 14 feet.
Along with Lord Surya, Maa Bhagwati, Ganapati and Lord Shiva, temples of Valmiki, Vashishtha, Vishwamitra, Agastya, Nishadraj, Mata Shabari and Goddess Ahilya are also to be built in the park at itself on all four corners of the park.
