In a major relief to Suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma, the Supreme Court has granted interim protection from arrest till the completion of the investigation into the alleged hate remarks against Prophet Mohammad. Along with this, the court has directed to transfer of all the cases registered against Nupur Sharma in different parts of the country to Delhi. The court has transferred the investigation of the club FIR against Nupur Sharma to the Delhi Police.
Hearing Nupur Sharma's petition last month, the Supreme Court stayed the arrest till August 10, giving a big relief to the suspended BJP leader. Along with this, the court has issued notices to the Center and the states where cases have been registered against them. In this notice, the court had asked the states and the central government why the cases registered against Nupur Sharma should not be transferred to one place.
