South movies and stars are rocking Bollywood. From Sridevi to Samantha, South Indian actresses have remained in Bollywood. Many Bollywood actresses have tried their luck by going to South Cinema but, could not succeed and their films proved to be flops. The names of Priyanka Chopra and Katrina are also included in this list. So let's have a look today at similar actresses and their films made in the South.
Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra made her acting debut with the Tamil film Thamizhan. But PC could not get the position he was looking for in the South Industry. Then PC turned to Bollywood. Later, after adding her name to the list of Bollywood's best actresses, PC tried her luck again with the films Zanjeer and Toofan. In Zanjeer, opposite Priyanka was the superstar of South films Ramcharan Teja. Zanjeer was released in 2013. It was an action thriller film. But the film could not do anything special and flopped badly and Priyanka Chopra, who made a mark from Bollywood to Hollywood, could not do anything amazing in the South Industry.
Katrina Kaif
Katrina Kaif made her debut in the Telugu industry in 2004 with the film 'Malliswari'. The film was also praised a lot. After this film, he also acted in the Telugu film 'Allari Pidugu' and the Malayalam movie 'Balaram Vs Tharadas'. But despite this, Katrina Kaif's magic could not work in South Cinema.
Bipasa Basu
Mahesh Babu, Lisa Ray, and Bipasha Basu played the lead roles in the film 'Takkri Dong' but, despite having such big names in the film, it got a very poor response at the box office and the film proved to be a flop. Since then, the actress stopped doing regional films.
Twinkle Khanna
Twinkle Khanna did many films in Bollywood like Mela and International Khiladi but, most of her films were flops. After this, he tried his hand in the South Indian industry and worked with Daggubati Venkatesh in the film 'Seenu'. This film was a hit. But Twinkle's name could not be found in South Cinema. Amrita Rao made her debut in the Telugu industry with the film 'Athidi'. She was seen opposite Mahesh Babu in this film. The film was a flop at the box office and after that Amrita distanced herself from the South industry.
Manisha Koirala
Manisha Koirala was seen opposite actors Nagarjuna and Ramya Krishna in the film 'Criminal', directed by Mahesh Bhatt. In this film, Manisha shared the screen with South actors. After this she did some South films but, she could not be as popular in South Cinema as she made her mark in Bollywood.
Ayesha Takia
