BSF Constable Returns: Pakistan bows down to India, hands over BSF Jawan Purnam Kumar

BSF jawan Purnam Kumar Shaw, posted in Ferozepur sector of Punjab, had inadvertently crossed the international border on 23 April and was later taken into custody by Pakistan Rangers.

 

After the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, Pakistan Rangers handed over Purnam Kumar Shaw to India. BSF jawan Purnam Kumar Shaw has returned to India from the Attari border (BSF Constable Returns).

 

Purnam Kumar Shaw had accidentally crossed the border on 23 April

Purnam Shaw was posted in BSF's 182nd Battalion, Ferozepur. On 23 April, Purnam Shaw was near gate number-208/1 on the fencing of Mamdot. During this time, Shaw's health deteriorated, and he sat under a tree. During this time, Pakistani Rangers caught him and snatched his weapons.

 

On receiving the information, security force officials arrived. After talking to Pakistan Rangers, they told that this jawan had been transferred here a few days ago. He did not know about the Zero Line. He should have been released, but Pakistan refused to return him then. Pakistan, shaken by India's big action after the Pahalgam terror attack, has returned Purnam Shaw.
