Bundelkhand Expressway Key Points: PM Modi will inaugurate Bundelkhand Expressway tomorrow. The Modi government has focused on connectivity and infrastructure from the very first day it came to power. This focus on connectivity can be gauged from the budgetary allocation of Rs. Rs 1.99 lakh crore to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in the budget of 2022-23 is the highest ever. This is almost 550 percent more than the allocation of Rs 30,300 crore in 2013-14.

 

In the last 7 years, the length of National Highways in the country has increased by more than 50% from 91,287 km in April 2014 to about 1,41,000 km by 31 December 2021. The speed of construction of national highways increased from 12 km per day to 37 km per day in 2020-21. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Bundelkhand Expressway, a 296-km-long expressway built for Rs 14,850 crore, on Saturday. The program has been organized in Catheri village of Orai tehsil of Jalaun district, CM Yogi and Governor Anandiben Patel will also participate in the program.

 

If we look at the distance of Chitrakoot Delhi, the end end of Bundelkhand Expressway, there is no direct route yet, due to which the journey from Chitrakoot to Delhi takes more than 10 hours. Now with the start of the Bundelkhand Expressway, the distance to Delhi will be reduced to 7 hours. Bundelkhand Expressway will connect to Delhi via Agra-Lucknow Expressway via Yamuna Expressway.

 

It will take only 7 hours to cover a distance of 630 km.

 

Connecting 296 km Bundelkhand Expressway, 135 km Agra-Lucknow Expressway, 165 km Yamuna Expressway, 24 km Noida-Greater Noida, and 9 km DND Flyway, the total distance is 630 km, which can be covered in about seven hours. Will be able Bundelkhand Expressway will connect people with other states including Delhi. This will benefit the people of Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Auraiya, and Etawah districts.
