The Prime Minister said that apart from the facility of availing bank loans, a separate department has also been created for fishermen. He said that several other decisions have been taken to strengthen the fisheries sector, which will promote the blue economy. The PM said that for the timely solution of the problems of the traders, it has been decided to set up the Merchant Welfare Board. Around 7 crore sisters attached to self-help groups are also being given more financial support. Recently, the loan for self-help groups without guarantee has been doubled from 10 lakh to 20 lakh.
