New Delhi: The Punjab-Haryana High Court has imposed a fine of five thousand rupees on both of them for not wearing the groom's masks during the wedding in the Corona crisis. A lover couple from Fazilka district of Punjab did not wear masks at the time of marriage, when it came to the knowledge of Punjab and Haryana High Court during the hearing of the case, the High Court fined the husband and wife. The High Court has ordered the fine to be spent on purchasing masks.
The funny thing is that in this case, the husband and wife who got the penalty, took refuge in the High Court itself. In fact, a loving couple in Fazilka district of Punjab had filed a petition for their protection. This loving couple had married against the wishes of their family members, after which the lovers were afraid that their housemates might harm them or try to separate them. After this, on 27th, in front of Fazilka's SSP had also requested for the safety of his life.
Counsel for the lovers couple who came to hear the matter in the High Court, argued that both the boys are girls and they have married on their own. This marriage is legal. But his family members are not accepting this marriage and the boy is trying to separate the girl. In such a situation, their safety should be ensured. Since the lovers couple is adult, the High Court ordered the SSP of the district to provide security for the lovers.
In view of Corona, these days the hearing is being done through high court video conferencing. After hearing the order, Justice Haripal Verma's eye on the photo of the couple, which was seen in the petition, showed that the bride and groom were present at the time of marriage. Corona did not wear masks necessary to avoid the epidemic. The judge ordered that the bridegroom bride would have to pay a fine of 5000 for not wearing the mask. The amount of the fine will be deposited in Fazilka's deputy commissioner's office within 15 days and this amount will be spent in mask distribution in the district.
