Impeachment took place on 13 February

Let us inform you that on February 13 this year, 98 MPs of the Nepali Congress, the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre), and CPN (Unified Socialist) brought an impeachment motion against Rana. Rana faced 21 charges, including corruption and bargaining for a stake in the government, and was suspended in February.

The impeachment motion could not be passed in Parliament and the government's last Parliament session also ended on Saturday. At the same time, Nepal Bar Association and Supreme Court Bar Association have said that Rana's protest will continue in court.

Former PM Oli said – Chief Justice Rana should be allowed to return to work

Former PM KP Sharma Oli on Sunday said that since Parliament has failed to pass an impeachment motion, Rana should be allowed to return to work. It is the irresponsible attitude of the government to put Rana under house arrest. A motion was filed against him, but it could not be passed in Parliament.
