
Congress's Bharat Jodi Yatra proceeded from Telangana's Kamareddy district on Monday morning. The Yatra will enter Maharashtra from the Nanded district tonight. It will travel for about 14 days in Maharashtra.
NCP chief Sharad Pawar will attend the yatra on November 8. Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and his son and former minister Aaditya Thackeray are likely to attend the yatra in Maharashtra. The Congress has made tremendous preparations to make the Yatra a success in Maharashtra.
Travel to be completed in South India today
This Congress journey from Kanyakumari to Kashmir has covered South India. Till now it has roamed in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. From Kamareddy in Telangana on Monday morning proceeded to the final phase in the state. The Yatra will enter Maharashtra from Madnoor Naka of Degalur in the Nanded district late in the evening.
Today Ekta Mashal Yatra, a 381 km tour in Maharashtra
To make the Yatra a success in Maharashtra, the State Congress has made huge preparations. After reaching the Nanded district this evening, Rahul Gandhi and other leaders will take out the Ekta Mashal Yatra at around 10 pm. The Bharat Jodo Yatra will cover a total of 381 km in Maharashtra. It will pass through 15 assemblies and 6 parliamentary constituencies.
Pawar will walk less than a mile with Rahul due to illness
NCP chief Sharad Pawar will join the yatra on November 8. He will travel less than a mile with Rahul as he is ill. He is undergoing treatment at Breachcandy Hospital in Mumbai. The Yatra is getting support from various political parties and social organizations across the country. This support is increasing day by day. In Maharashtra too, NCP and Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) have agreed to participate in the yatra considering its importance.
Thackeray is yet to confirm his participation in the yatra
Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and former minister Aaditya Thackeray are yet to confirm the schedule of Rahul Gandhi's participation in the visit. However, both are likely to attend Rahul Gandhi's visit. However, Arvind Sawant and Manisha Kayande from Shiv Sena's Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction will join the yatra. Many leaders including Maharashtra's veteran leader Nana Patole, Balasaheb Thorat, Bhai Jagtap, and Ashok Chavan will participate in the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
The journey will end in Kashmir next year, a distance of 2366 km remains to be covered.
The Bharat Jodo Yatra of Congress started from Kanyakumari on 7th September. It has yet to cover a distance of 2,355 km in a total journey of 3,570 km. It will end in Kashmir next year. Congress claims that this is the longest padyatra by any Indian politician in the history of India.
