Lucknow, Feb 7 (IANS) Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh Saturday expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will emerge victorious in the Delhi assembly elections.
Speaking to reporters in his parliamentary constituency on the day polling was being held in the union capital, Rajnath Singh said the party was confident of its victory at the hustings to give the national capital stability and development.
He earlier flagged off a new train - Lucknow-Kathgodam Express - from here. Asked to comment on the law and order situation in the state, Rajnath Singh said the situation was grim and special attention was required.
He also thanked the Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha for the new train.
Happy at the manner in which the event was organized, Sinha announced a cash prize of Rs.1.5 lakh for the officials and employees involved.
He also said the railway budget later this month will have a lot for Lucknow. "There are many many things lined up but I will not reveal it now," Sinha added.
