Once again an increase is being recorded in the cases of Covid-19 infection in the country. More than seven thousand new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours. However, experts believe that the chances of a fourth wave in India are very less. Until a new variant of Corona appears in the country.
In an interaction with ANI on Thursday, Dr. Rommel Tikku, Director, Max Healthcare said that India is not expecting the fourth wave. Unless a new variant of the COVID-19 variant is reported in the country. He said that people are traveling to different places due to which the cases are increasing. The fear of COVID-19 cases is increasing due to the increase in tourism activities.
According to Dr. Rommel Tikku, India is moving towards endemism. Due to this, there is no possibility of any big jump. However, he has said to be careful about the Covid-19 infection. He said that as long as the cases of corona are coming in controlled numbers, there is nothing to worry about. Meanwhile, Dr. Tikku warned that covid is a viral disease and it will remain with us for some more time. We need to be extremely careful, as well as follow the COVID-19 proper behavior as per the guidelines of the government.
The country recorded 7,240 fresh coronavirus cases on Thursday. Which is about 40 percent more than the day before. Cases of infection are increasing rapidly in states like Maharashtra and Kerala. This is the biggest jump in the number of daily cases since March 2. On Wednesday, the daily COVID cases in India saw an increase of around 41 percent.
