Covid 19: Corona virus reaches navy personnel in Mumbai, 21 jawans found positive

New Delhi: Corona virus infection that is wreaking havoc in the country has now reached the Indian Navy. 21 naval corona positives have been found in the Naval Complex in Mumbai. All of them are being suspected of infection from the naval who got positive on 7 April. Of the 21 naval positives that have been received so far, 20 are posted on INS Angre. According to the Navy's statement, all INS Angre lived together in the same block. Currently this block has been quarantined. Earlier, corona has also been confirmed among the eight soldiers of the army.

 

 

This is the first time that such a large number of military personnel are being treated for Kovid-19. "A total of 21 personnel serving inside the naval complexes in Mumbai have been found infected with Kovid-19," the Navy said in a statement. These include 20 INS Angre naval personnel. "There has been no case of corona virus in any ship and submarine personnel of the Indian Navy.

Navy said that all the infected are being treated in a naval hospital in Mumbai. He said that most of the infected people had come in contact with the naval who was found infected with Kovid-19 on April 7. Navy said, "All these live in the same residential block of INS Angre. All those who came in primary contact were investigated for Kovid-19. All the people living there have been immediately sent to a separate residence. "INS Angre has also been completely closed. Sources said that top officials of the Ministry of Defense, including Naval Headquarters, are monitoring the case. He said that the Navy has ordered all its branches to take extreme precaution to protect personnel from Kovid-19.
