636 new cases of corona infection have been reported in the country, due to which the number of patients under treatment has increased to 4,394. According to the Health Ministry, in the last 24 hours, two patients in Kerala and one in Tamil Nadu died of infection. There is no need to be afraid of new variants of Corona

We currently have no data to suggest. We just have to adopt normal safety measures. We need to be cautious. People should avoid being in places with low ventilation without a mask. If you are in such an area then definitely wear a mask. Avoid going near any infected person. Try to stay in an open space. If there is any problem like fever or shortness of breath then definitely go to the hospital. He further said that we have to keep in mind that it is winter season now. We need to take precautions. So far 21 cases have been reported in India, due to which people are again panicking. The World Health Organization also says the risk of JN-1 is low based on current evidence.
Instructions to states to increase surveillance
According to WHO, the JN.1 sub-variant of coronavirus was earlier considered to be the type of BA.2.86. However, in the past few weeks, JN.1 cases have been reported in more than 40 countries. Given the rapidly spreading infection, the Union Health Ministry has asked the states and union territories to maintain constant surveillance.
