Kolkata, March 19 (IANS) The opposition CPI-M Wednesday came out with seven booklets highlighting what it called atrocities against women, lack of development and unfulfilled promises during the rule of the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal.
The booklets in Bengali criticised the state government's policies on north Bengal and the Jungle Mahal, and the Trinamool's alleged "conspiracies" in Nandigram.
"We decided to come out with these booklets dealing with various issues so as to make people aware of the truth and counter the falsehood being propagated by the ruling party ahead of the Lok Sabha polls," Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) state secretary Biman Bose told media persons at a programme.
Bose said the party would publish more such booklets in the coming days. A folder containing detailed reports and documents on various issues would also be released.
He said CPI-M activists would meet the common people and drum up support on the party's stand by publicising facts about the state government.
