We are proud that Deepti has brought glory to the country and brought global recognition to the school. Principal Veeresh Kumar said that there is a wave of joy among the children and teachers on the school campus. Deepti's dedication to her work is an inspiration to everyone.

She used to scold Sumit, but now she herself says, "Let's watch the match."

Deepti's cousin, Akash Pachauri, says that whenever she saw Sumit coming back from cricket practice covered in mud, her aunt Sushila would scold him. She never liked Sumit playing cricket, nor did she want him to play. However, when Sumit started coaching Deepti, she changed. Now, whenever Deepti plays, she herself tells everyone to watch the match.

She's only interested in the game.

Bhagwan Singh Sharma, who lives right across from Shri Bhagwan Sharma's house, says that Deepti has always been interested in cricket. She grew up watching her brother Sumit play cricket, so her passion for cricket also grew. When he moved to the colony in 2004, Deepti used to play with a plastic bat in the neighborhood. In her free time, watching matches or talking about cricket was her hobby. However, apart from this, she only talked to her granddaughter, Shivi.
