Dengue cases are continuously increasing in Karnataka. The state government has now geared up to control them. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has directed officials to take precautionary measures to prevent the spread of water-borne diseases. People have also been urged to give top priority to cleanliness around them.

CM informed through social media that in the last few days, more than seven thousand dengue cases have been reported across the state. Of these, more than four thousand cases were from Bangalore city alone.

Siddaramaiah said that he spoke to the officials of the concerned department about the rapid spread of dengue. Instructed them to take all necessary precautionary measures. Effective measures including spraying of medicines, and identifying and cleaning places where water accumulates are being adopted to control mosquitoes in Bengaluru.

The Chief Minister said that I request the public to give priority to cleanliness around the house and beware of mosquito bites. Don't be afraid of dengue, be aware.

Karnataka Health and Family Welfare Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao on Friday launched a disease surveillance dashboard and a mobile application for effective monitoring and prevention of dengue. The dashboard, a disease forecasting software, was developed in partnership with the Department of Health, Bengaluru Municipal Corporation, and the AI and Robotics Technology Park at the Indian Institute of Science to assist policymakers and public health officials in preparing and managing outbreaks and disease control activities. Has gone.

Officials have said that at present, both the dashboard and the mobile app are focused on dengue. However, the aim is to expand to additional diseases in the future. Officials said only health workers and health officials can access the dashboard as of now and it will soon be made available to the public. At the same time, the mobile app is also an application connected to the dashboard, but it works independently. As of now, the mobile app has been operated under BBMP's jurisdiction
