Former US President Donald Trump has said that his passport was stolen. Trump has accused the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of this. "During the search of the Mar-e-Lago property, three of my passports (one has expired) have been stolen.

Truth wrote on the social network - never seen this

Trump made the allegations Monday by writing to the social network he co-founded. The former US President wrote that this is an attack on a political opponent which has never been seen before in our country. He said that all this is happening under some conspiracy.

Passport not on the list of seized items

Although it is not clear why Trump spoke about it only a week after a search of his property in the US state of Florida. The raid raised suspicions that Trump may have violated the Espionage Act and other laws by taking classified documents from the White House. A Florida court, at the request of US Attorney General Merrick Garland, published a list of confiscated items as well as a search warrant last Friday. The list of seized items includes documents and several boxes. But in it, passports are not explicitly listed there.

Trump lied more than 30,000 times

Let us tell you that fact-checkers of the Washington Post newspaper say that Trump has made more than 30,000 false or misleading statements in his four-year term since 2017. Trump and his Republican supporters say the raids were carried out by Democrats to distract from the declining popularity of President Joe Biden. Significantly, there is talk of Trump contesting the presidential election once again in 2024.
