Earthquake: Earthquake tremors in parts of Assam, magnitude 5.6 measured

Earthquake tremors were felt in many parts of Upper Assam including Sivasagar at around 10:32 am on Thursday. According to reports, the magnitude of the earthquake was measured at 5.6 on the Richter scale. But there is no news of any casualty yet. According to the information, the earthquake was of mild intensity and was felt in several districts of Upper Assam. The epicenter of the earthquake has been reported near Aalo in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. Tremors of the earthquake were felt in Arunachal Pradesh as well as in neighboring Myanmar and China.
